MY LIL ROLLIE POLLIE!!!

My baby boy is now two months old! The time is really going by too fast. The last couple of weeks have been rough because he had his nights and days mixed up, but it's been better the last two nights. He has started smiling, cooing, blowing spit bubbles and saying what sounds like the letter g. His cute lil cheeks have really filled out and I'm happy that I am still able to breastfeed. He hates the car seat so it's been difficult to travel anywhere because he gets really upset in the seat. He has a dr. appt. for thursday to get his shots and I am so curious to see how much he weighs. He is quickly growing out of his three month old clothes and I need to go do some shopping for him, but not sure how to manage that since he hates his car seat! I am treasuring every moment because they don't stay in this baby stage for very long!

IT'S A BOY!!!!

Kaden Lane was born September 2, 2009!!! He weighed 8lbs. and was 21" long. His big brother Brendon loves him, they are just chilling in the hospital.

His big sister Kortlin loves him and is excited to be big sister again!

OUR NEW BABY!!!

On wednesday morning I went to the dr. and was dilated to 8 so he sent me directly to the hospital to break my water and just a few minutes and two pushes later out came our baby BOY yes I said BOY and it was supposed to be a girl according to our dr. and two ultrasounds! Then my mind started racing with oh no I don't have a single thing for him to wear to go home and everything I have at home is pink!! Oh well family came through and bought him clothes and we are home and doing well and I will load pics as soon as I can catch my breath!!!!

37 weeks!!

I went to the dr. on wednesday and was dilated to a 4 so doc is making me go back tommorrow morning and I know he will try to persuade me to induce, but I just don't want to have this baby that way!!! I to go into labor on my own when my body and baby girl are ready not on doc's time! So it's almost eleven at night and I'm wide awake because my nerves are so rattled over this, because I tend to give nto what other people want to easily. I mentioned to my hubby that I would really like to shampoo all the carpets and clean the house from top to bottom before having this lil one and this morning he came home with the machine and started doing it!!! What a wonderful hubby!! I hate carpet and so look forward to our new home with no carpet and only wood and tile floors! Also I'm still waiting for my car seat cover. I also decided to go with the aqua damask with white minky and striped bedding I posted about earlier and have painted the baby dresser and will post pics up soon.

36 WEEKS!!!!!!!

Yesterday I went for a check up and this lady in the lobby felt she had to tell me I must be having a 12lb baby and the doctor would have to take it from me. I was so upset I told her please don't say things like that, and not to mention the office was full of people all listening to what she was telling me! By the time I got in the exam room and the doc and nurse asked how I was doing I just started crying and couldn't even talk, finally I told them and doc says that's just someone showing their ignorance, but lately everywhere I go some stranger is making a comment that I must be having twins or how huge I am, I wish people would just stop and realize how it makes a pregnant woman feel when you tell her these things. She already has to look in the mirror everyday and can clearly see how large her growing belly has become and wonders just how big will the baby become by the time she has to give birth! Then my daughter and I went to have lunch together and two older gentlemen just wouldn't stop staring at me and eventually one told me that I looked miserable and when was I going to have this baby. What bothered me the most was the looking miserable part because I had taken time to style my hair, put on my jewelry, and dressed in my nicest maternity outfit so that was the last thing I wanted to hear! Oh well guess that's enough venting for today! My doc says I need to stay off my feet so this baby will stay put for two more weeks so I'm relaxing in the recliner and planning to read alot of good blogs!!!

I took the style test at sproost.com three times and every time it says I am 100% Nantucket style. I never even thought of that as my style, but I love the way those rooms feel so welcoming to me. Now I'm wondering if it's okay to have more of that style in my home that we are hopefully soon to build even though we don't live anywhere near the beach or water?

IDEAS FOR THE NURSERY!!

I haven't posted in so long because my camera died so the hubby had a friend selling a Nikon coolpix for $40 and he bought and that will have to do for now. Anyway I found this small armoire on craigslist listed with another dresser that i will show you later that's going in my 12yr old daughter's room and got both pieces for $105. Now to decide what color to paint it and some new knobs, thinking maybe a very light sage green and some glass knobs. It's sitting in the hall for now because we are so crowded right now and still haven't been able to start building our new home!

I found this beauty on etsy thanks to the blog world. My car seat now is more boy colors and this cover really caught my eye!

I am really drawn to these colors and material options for baby bedding and having trouble trying to decide, but wondering if this is more for a boy nursery! This is also from etsy as well as the one below.

This one is just soooo beautiful it really calls out to me and both materials have that light sage green in the stripped material so that's why I was considering that color for the armoire. I am now 32 weeks pregnant so I really need to make some decisions and get busy putting things together before the baby comes!

IT'S A GIRL!!!!

My doctor finally did an ultrasound this morning, I'm at 25 weeks and it's clearly a girl! She cooperated with us and opened her lil legs so we could get a clear shot. She moves all the time so I'm afraid she's going to be very active just like my two yr old son. I ought to be able to loose all the weight running after two very active children at least I hope so!!!

I am 24 weeks pregnant today and I was dealt the most horrible news yesterday and never ever suspected anything so terrible was going on. I believe in the power of prayer and will be in constant prayer and I'm hoping anyone that reads this will pray that I will learn the truth and how to deal with it the way that God would want me to. It's 2:00am right now and I can't even sleep, all I can do is talk to God!!

NEW CANISTERS

I have been looking at canisters ever since I've seen all the nice ones on the kitchens over at kellys korner. So I found these on ebay and they arrived today, oh I was sooo happy when my neighbor called and said fedex was at my house. I couldn't wait to get home and open them. They turned out to be a lil more orange than I wanted, so not too sure about keeping them. I'll have to stare at them for a while and decide.

A NEW TABLE!!

This is a Candice Olson design that I just love, it draws me in every time and I am trying to accomplish this look on a very tight budget so off to garage sales, flea markets and Craigslist I went.

I found this table on Craigslist and the girl let me have it for $40 bucks. It's solid wood and very sturdy, so my sweet hubby is sanding and restaining much darker for me since I am pregnant at the moment and my allergies are just terrible.

I found these chairs at jcp.com yesterday they were on closeout for 124.99 with another 10% off coupon, but this morning I go to the website to order them and they have jumped up to 149.99 with free shipping, so I am not sure what I'm going to do now, how disappointing! I'm just a person that has to think about big purchases and discuss it with my hubby and I certainly wasn't expecting the price to jump up overnight!

Well on another note I haven't been posting because my camera just won't turn on and I have tried several new batteries and just don't know what else to do. I've found so many goodies at garage sales, flea markets and burkes outlet clearance lately and I really wanted to join in on the thrifty posts. My hubby also took me to Trade Days in Winnie, Tx the Saturday before Mother's Day and I had a blast and found so many goodies!!!

BOYS AND THEIR TOYS!!

My dad has been working on his hot rod 55 Belair everyday and i think it came out great!!! I love the way the interior looks.

My husbands race truck in front of dad's car, I think dad came to say let's hook um up son in law! lol I'm not sure how to answer questions that were left in my comments, but i will answer now yes my husband does drag race his truck in louisiana, mississippi and texas. He's already hinting he wants to go this Saturday to Evadale Raceway in Texas. It's a big competition between him his brother and cousins, they all have either a truck or car to race and one always wants to be faster than the other!!

My dad decided to burn the tires as he left our house and my son gets such a kick out of that, I'm sure racing will be in his blood too. He loves to go to the track with his dad and will lay under the truck with his dad to do repairs!!! It is just too cute to see!! I enjoy going sometimes, but I think I will have a girl day with my daughter this time.

A CRAVING!!!!

I'm nineteen weeks pregnant today! I am feeling very energetic today and thank God not dealing with hayfever. The baby has started moving alot so I'm wondering if it will be very energetic like my lil guy!

Here is my lil guy this morning as I am heading out to Wally World ( aka Wal mart). He thinks he's fixing it, I hope daddy knows he's working on the lawnmower. He's distracted so thankfully I get to go grocery shopping by myself. yay!!!

I have been trying so hard to eat healthy and keep my weight down, but I kept craving chips and dip. Also Diet Dr. pepper which is my biggest weakness, but I had to have one with chips and dip right! Well after taking a few bites it just didn't taste as good as I remembered, guess that's a good thing! My lil guy sure liked the chips and dip so he and my hubby can eat them for me! lol

Shopping for prego clothes!!

After hunting in my closet this morning for something to wear to church I decided i need to get some maternity clothes. One problem i don't really like much of what they have to offer in my area. Those ballon type shirts just bug me and i still want something stylish so this what i put on to go do some shopping. My brave daughter is coming with me on this beautiful Sunday afternoon to the one and only maternity store in the mall 30 minutes from our town.

I also love, love my tommy leather purse i'm carrying, but it's getting a little worn so i am so hoping to find a similiar replacement. I love purses, but i am sooooo picky about them! Also, my husband is working on his race truck and it's very loud so that's another good reason to escape from the rumbling noise. Well off to shop till i drop and hopefully find some great deals, JC Penney is supposed to have the buy one get one for 88cents.

HE HAS RISEN!!!!

I'm so disappointed that I can't attend church this morning, but my 2yr has a virus and i can't mix him with the other children. I hope everyone has a very blessed easter!!!

Camera troubles

I'm so disappointed that I can't upload any of my new pics. I can't find my usb cable anywhere, I'm sure thanks to my 2yr old. I went to Walmart and bought a universal one that they swore would work, but surprise it doesn't fit my camera. Then to top the cake my sweet husband decided to clean out my expedition and threw away my receipt, ugh!! So i am back on the hunt for a usb cable to be able to upload all my great pics.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY DAUGHTER!!!

I can't believe my daughter turns 12 today! Time has just flown by and I treasure these past twelve years watching her grow into a young lady. We were going shopping in these pics and I love having that time alone with her, she can always make me laugh and she is such a giggle box.

She loves animals and she sure don't get that from me! She cracks me up, it's breakfast time right now and she wants to eat scalloped potatoes! I'm hoping that I can make her day all that she wants it to be!

Planning for my dream home!!!

This is the home plan we want to use with a few modifications here and there. The first pic is the coloring we want to use. I wish someone could tell me why my pics just keep stacking one on top the other why I can't seem to type in between my pictures.

On another note I have to go for a ob appt. tommorrow and I know it's close to time for bloodwork and I absolutely hate needles!!!! I am 15 weeks pregnant this week and praying for a person with very good skills at finding veins and I know I won't get much sleep thinking about all this tonight so I'll just have to pray for God's favor while I lay awake.

Well going outside know to enjoy this beautiful warm weather we are having here today!!!

Ideas for my dream home!

We are planning to build our dream home this year hopefully before this baby comes in September. This will be the third home I get to build and I love it! I want something very different from the brick homes I've built in town before. This home will be in the country and i want it to look like it belongs out there. These are some awesome entry doors i found.

My birthday boy!

Today is my baby boy's 2nd birthday!!! It's so hard to beleive that much time has gone by. He brings such joy to my life each and every day. He can always make me laugh. He is just too smart for his own good. He's always saying What's up mommy! How cute is that?

This is my very first post and I am still trying to figure it all out. I love reading Kellys Korner and decided to join in on fashion wednesday. I am three months pregnant and have been asked to be a hostess at a wedding shower, but need to be thrifty with my outfit so this is what i found @ Walmart.com for only $18.00. The shoes I found at payless.com for only $11.99 and couldn't figure out how to get the picture under this writing. Now I really want to find a chunky red necklace.
